An alternative pressure fermenter
So I used a 9L pot to mash in, strained it, then boiled back in the same vessel.
Then I made use of a check valve disconnect as a 5psi (?) spunding valve on 2 x 2L bottles to ferment with some kveik - mini fermenters ahoy.
The initial layout of the recipe is in Brewfather, but it's scaled down as below.
1.1kg Maris Otter
100g Rolled oats
45g Amber malt
70g Chocolate malt
15g Roasted malt
50g Crystal
Mashed in 5.5L of water at 67c, just loosely floating in the pot, stirred a few times.
60m - 12g EKG
10m - 5g EKG
Target OG was 1.098, but I ended up around 1.080
So this was taken with a real spunding valve on the top, but I swapped it out for a no-return disconnect when I needed the valve on the fermzilla. Basically, chucked it into a couple 2L bottles, used a T piece and some carbonation caps to keep it all under pressure, and with kveik, it was done in a few days.

That does the job
